Diva's #269, Ellish; Joey's #114: Roman Numeral XIV

The Diva's Challenge this week is the new official tangle Ellish:
I've done it very minimally, but it really has a lot of versatility.
 Be sure to visit the Diva's site to see the other wonderful entries; it's amazing how different all the responses are. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out one of the Challenges yourself.

Joey continues using Roman Numerals as the string;
this one is XIV:

using Barber Pole,
Bunzo,
Cadent,
Chessecloth
Papyrus,
and Shattuck

Diva's Challenge #268, a bit-o-black

Early in April, the Diva's Challenge #263 was to
use a Globular Grid; and this was as far as I got:

 I just couldn't come up with any way of finishing it.
But when I saw this week's challenge; #268: A bit-o-black;
I had my answer:
Adding that bit-o-black finished it off perfectly.

Challenges from the Diva and Joey

This week's challenge from the Diva is a DuoTangle:
Poke Root vs. Drupe. I like both of these tangles,
and have used them before; just not together.
So here they are:

Joey #111, Roman Numeral XI, and It's a String Thing #143

Joey's weekly challenge continues using
Roman Numerals; in this case XI

and uses the following tangle patterns:
I used them all:

For It's a String Thing # 143,
Adele Bruno has designed this string, inspired by the
front door of the Casselberry Art House, which this weekend
 is hosting the first ever Tickled To Tangle Art Show.

Along with this string, the challenge is to use these tangles:
N'Zeppel, Sand Swirl, Swarm, and Tipple.

I've never really been able to do N'Zeppel completely to my
liking, and this time is no different. And I still haven't quite
figured out a good way to use Swarm; but, as you can see,
I did manage to use all the tangles called for in this challenge:
 Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, on Monday afternoon, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday afternoon,
when she offers the new ones.
