Well, here we are, at the 11th Hour, as is so often the case. Technically speaking, as far as Square One is concerned, it's actually the 12th Hour, or at least time for the new focus to have been posted. But as I'm always a bit behind, at least on some challenges, this is just par for for the course. The focus on Square One for this past week was Purk, one of my earliest (and still) favorites. When String #158 was introduced, I immediately thought: Bingo, Purk! So here it is (I just turned the string sideways, and added some Bead Lines.)
Check out the Square One/Purely Zentangle group on Facebook and see all the other entries for Purk and lots of others. Square One has you going back to the basics; try it, you may like it.

For Adele Bruno's It's a String Thing #94,
For Adele Bruno's It's a String Thing #94,
we were charged to use String Thing #094 by CZT Linda Fine
and any or all of these patterns:
Wist by CZT Michelle Beauchamp
Jasmin by Simone Bischoff
Sooflowers by Livia Chua
Fleuri by CZT Geneviève Crabe
Jasmin by Simone Bischoff
Sooflowers by Livia Chua
Fleuri by CZT Geneviève Crabe
I used all but Sooflowers; it just didn't fit in my vision.
I like this one a lot; I'm back to white spaces;
but I couldn't decide which way is up.
So in my usual fashion, I'm offering 2 orientations:
Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, on Monday afternoon, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday afternoon,
when she offers the new ones.

And the last challenge for this week:
"Straight Lines all the Tines...er, times"
This week's Diva's challenge is different, but fun. The challenge is to use ONLY straight
lines. I was going to use Paradox, because it's one of my favorites, and even though it uses only straight lines, it does create the illusion of curves and movement. But somehow I ended up doing 2 versions of Arukas. The first one ended up a little sloppy;
the second is nice and crisp.
Be sure to visit the Diva's site to see the other wonderful entries; it's amazing how different all the responses are. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out one of the Challenges yourself.
