This week, the Diva challenged us to tangle white on black, or, in the absence of those tools, tangle a found object. Since I really like white on black, that's the way for me.
Be sure to visit the Diva's site to see the other wonderful entries; it's amazing how different all the responses are. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out one of the Challenges yourself.

Next up was Joey's Weekly Tangle Challenge #61;
tangle a flower shaped string
This is more or less the string I came up with:
I forgot to scan it before I filled it in,
so this is more or less an afterthought;
but I'm sure you can recognize it in the final tile.
As far as I'm concerned, flowers means color.
Take a look at joey’s site to see the other entries,
and maybe try one yourself.
I agree, this cries for colour. It's so eye catching, very nicely done! Love seeing your artwork each week!

Thanks for your kind words, Joey. I always look forward to your challenges each week, and to your comments/critiques as well.
DeleteVery lovely tiles! Especially I like the black one with its fine movement!
ReplyDeleteThank you, LonettA. I always appreciate your comments.
DeleteI see two beautiful flowers here!
ReplyDeleteEven the black and white one looks like a flower!
Very good work!
Thanks so much for your comment. I'm glad you like my work.
DeleteVery pretty. I love the colors and the flower string itself.

Thank you, Joyce. I'm glad you like the flower string and the colors that i used.
DeleteI know what you mean about flowers and color...I can't resist coloring them too! Your white on black bow is so dramatic...very cool rendering!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lynell. I'm glad you agree that flowers should be colored. And thanks, also, for your comment about the white on black bow. Almost anything can be made to seem dramatic when you use white on black.
DeleteThere's something retro about the white on black bow and you've captured movement somehow. An excellent piece of work.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Margaret. I am so glad you like the tile.
DeleteI especially like the simplicity and movement of the black tile. Both are lovely
ReplyDeleteThanks, Betsy.
