This is the template for this week's Zendala Dare, #76, from Erin Koetz Olson, AKA the Bright Owl.
This template didn't appeal to me at first; don't know why, it just didn't. But once I settled on the idea of alternating the diamond shapes in front and in back of the octagonal border section, the rest of it started falling into place;
and this is what I came up with:
The Tangles (or Tangleations) used are: Unyun, by Carol Ohl; YewDee by Peg Farmer;
and Triral, by Pam Pincha-Wagener.
Be sure to visit the Bright Owl's site; see the other wonderful submissions, and maybe try out one of the Dares yourself.
Thanks for visiting, and leave a comment, favorable or not. That's how we learn and grow; and how we know someone out there is paying attention.
Have a wonderful day, week, month; see you all next time.

What a great idea to put some diamonds in front. Beatiful zendala!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne. Glad you think so.
DeleteNice touch to alternate the diamonds. Like the boldness of the tangles.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it, Donald. Thanks.
DeleteLovely zendala. I like the tangle you used in the diamonds (I can't remember the name).
ReplyDeleteI also alternated the diamonds in mine. I agree that it adds more interest.
I see you listed the tangles. Unyun is the one I was talking about. I thought it was something like "onion", but couldn't remember what.
DeleteI was so taken with your straight line rendition that I didn't even notice that you alternated the diamonds until you pointed it out. Fabulous job!
