In keeping with her continuing Spring Theme,
Joey's Challenge #56 is,
tangle a flower box or
a baskit
of bluebonnets

of bluebonnets
I opted for a Baskit of Bluebonnets:
I kind of like it; how about you?
Take a look at joey’s site to see the other entries,
and maybe try one yourself.

Diva's Challenge #213, Traced Object Strings
This week's challenge is to trace an object (or objects)
to create a new and interesting string.
I started working on this while waiting at the Dentist's office. Searching through my purse,
I came up with this little comb and 6" metal ruler.
which I turned into this string:
which became this tile:
Be sure to visit the Diva's site to see the other wonderful entries; it's amazing how different all the responses are. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out one of the Challenges yourself.

At Tickled to Tangle, since this is the String Thing #88, Adele's daughters: Nancy and Sarah, came up with this string:
and Adele added these Tangle patterns,
which bring 8's to mind:
I had no problem with Pia and Tipz, but I can never get 8's to look the way I want it to. So I decided to leave it out of the mix:
But the more I thought about it, the more I thought I should at least try; so here's my second attempt:
It's not as bad as I expected.
Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, late Monday afternoon, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday afternoon, when she offers the new ones.

Great, that you are able to even create while waiting at the dentist
ReplyDelete:-) I do like this tile!!!!
Thanks, Annmarie. I have to do something while I'm waiting, even if the dentist office.
DeleteI love your string!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it would be too small to fill with nice patterns but then I saw your picture and it looks great!
Thank you. I, too, thought the string would be too small to work with. But it worked out just fine.
DeleteAmazing that you could make such a delightful tile with that crazy string! I think you did a nice job with the 8's. That one definitely requires some concentration!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jean. I surprised even myself with that particular one. And at least I only did a small section of 8s.
