Square One, Joey, String Thing, and Diva

The focus of Square One this week is Tripoli, which I've done here with Onomato and Purk, against a background tangleation of Florz:
Check out the Square One/Purely Zentangle group on Facebook and see all the other entries for Tripoli and lots of others. Square One has you going back to the basics;
try it, you may like it.

Next up was Joey's Challenge #59;
Mumsy, drawn on black paper:
 After I finished this one, I remembered another one I had done a while back, so here it is , too:
Take a look at joey’s site to see the other entries, and maybe try one yourself.

I liked the white on black so much that I decided to use it for the rest of this week's challenges.

For It's a String Thing #91, we are celebrating the 5th anniversary of  Linda Farmer's Tangle Patterns website. Use a simple "V" as the string:

and these tangles:
Zin by CZT Linda Farmer,
 2 in 5 by CZT Anita Roby-Lavery
and Vano by Anneke Sieben

Here's mine:
 Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, on Monday afternoon, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday afternoon, when she offers the new ones.

And lastly, this week's Diva's Challenge, # 216,
UMT (Use My Tangle), Brella, by Bunny Wright, CZT
Be sure to visit the Diva's site to see the other wonderful entries; it's amazing how different all the responses are. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out one of the Challenges yourself.

  6. Ha, Miss Purple, you were in a "black" mood this time! I love all your tiles. Your V string and Brella really look great, and the Mumsy is quite beautiful - both versions. Really Wonderful!

  8. these are all so nice, but my favorite is the second mumsy. I'm tempted to get more black tiles out and make on like it. Mumsy galore!
