Diva's #259, Joey's #104, It's a String Thing #136

This week's challenge over at the Diva's is to use
a "Touch of Irish",
whether it be green, or a shamrock,
or whatever suits your fancy.
So here's mine:
I used Derwent's Inktense Watercolor pencils, dry;
and 01 and 03 black Microns.
Very simple; but I think it works.

Be sure to visit the Diva's site to see the other wonderful entries; it's amazing how different all the responses are. Maybe you'll be inspired to try out one of the Challenges yourself.

Joey's Challenge is still using Roman Numerals as the string; this one is 4:

and the tangles
4 Corners, 4 Fun, and 4 Mom
I'm not a big fan of 4 Fun, and couldn't fit it in
(probably because I'm not very fond of it).
So I just used 4 Corners and 4 Mom,
in different sizes and different variations.

Take a look at Joey’s site to see the other entries,
and maybe try one yourself.

And the last tile this week is for It's a String Thing #136
Earlier this week, March 14 (or 3/14), was National Pi Day
in the United States.  The fourteenth of March is so named for the first three digits of the mathematical constant, Pi (3.14).
In honor of Pi Day, Adele Bruno designed this string;
which loosely resembles the symbol for PI.

The tangles to be used were:
3-Loops-6  by CZT Mina Hsiao,
and Pokeroot, W2, and Tripoli, all by Maria Thomas

In this case, I actually used all 4 tangles:
I was in a bit of a hurry to finish this,
and Tripoli got a little messy.
But otherwise, I'm happy with it.

Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, on Monday afternoon, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday afternoon,
when she offers the new ones.
