Joey's Challenge #118; Maryhill

This week Joey is continuing using Circular strings:

The tangle chosen to use is Maryhill, but NOT in the
central circle. So the fist tile I came up with is this:
I used Crescent Moon in the center, and alternated
the direction of Maryhill, producing a starlike shape
around it. It was OK, but I wasn't completely satisfied
with it. So I went back to using a circular tile; which
I've been doing a lot of lately. In the center, I used Citrus,
by Adele Bruno, then put Maryhill next, and finished up
with an as yet untitled pattern that I've beenworking on:
I am much more satisfied with this one.

Take a look at Joey’s site to see the other entries,
and maybe try one yourself.

  1. I like both tiles, but man, that second one is fantastic. The new pattern you are working on is beautiful. Great job!

  2. Oh, those are great! Wouldn't they make great stained glass windows?

  3. Both tiles are lovely - love the star like effect of the first one.
