Zendala Dare #98

Well, I finished another challenge, Zendala Dare #98
This is the template, from Erin Koetz Olson, the Bright Owl:

and this is what I did with it at first:
And this is it after more shading:
I'm not really sure which I like better; the first is a bit crisper and brighter, the second one has more depth, I think. Either way, I'm really glad to have the Zendala Dares back again.

Be sure to visit the the Bright Owl's site; see the other wonderful entries, and maybe try out one of the Zendala Dares yourself.

  1. Wow what a nice interpretation! I can't choose between the two?
But in both of them it seems to be the form of a frisbee!

    1. Thanks, Efie. I'm not sure I know what you mean about the frisbee. Do you mean the round shape? That's a Zendala (a Zentangle version of a Mandala)

  5. Gorgeous and bold! I like the more shaded version best. But I tend to go pretty heavy on shading myself.

  6. Nice tribal feel to your design. Actually, to buck the trend, I like the less shaded one better. Do you use a photo program to get the black shadow frame around the edge? Looks nice!
