This week, Amy Broady, CZT™ from Knoxville, Tenneessee,

Her challenge is to
make our tangled work shine!
Or gleam. Or glint. Add a special touch.
She
charged us to include a METALLIC feature
in our tangled art this
week. It could be bold or subtle,
a major feature, or a finishing touch.
I used metallic gold and silver uni-ball pens,
which show up well on the black tile. But unfortunately,
the shine doesn't scan very well. I guess it's probably because
in the scanner there's no light to reflect the metallic look.
You'll just have to take my word that it does in fact shine.

I had trouble getting the metallic pens to show on photos too and it's really annoying when I know they shine so well in real life. i like the idea of the monotangle on black, it really emphasises the contrasts.
ReplyDeleteWe all can imagine how shiny this beautiful tile is, Audrie, since none of us were able to really capture it as well as we hoped. Very nice on the black!
ReplyDeleteI love the flow between Japonica and Hi-C's in the first tile. I had the same problem with scanning metallic inks for Ooh! Shiny! I sympathize!
ReplyDeleteI like the two forms of Flux on the top and sides of the Roman numeral. The gold and silver does stand out on the black tile although I know in real life it will be a lot shinier
