Joey continues her series of "Finish my Tile" challenges;
using Villers #2:
As you can see, I'm continuing my series of monotangles
for these challenges of Joey's.
Take a look at Joey’s site to see the other entries,
and maybe try one yourself.

Over at Tickled to Tangle, Adele Bruno set up this string,
loosely inspired by the #6:
using the tangles Fengle and Shattuck.
I adapted this string very loosely; you probably can't see it.
But that's OK, as she also suggested using Fengle as the
string. So I kind of combined the 2 ideas. But as usual,
I couldn't decide on just one way to go with it.
So here they are: 2 for the price of one:
I'd be interested in your thoughts on this.
Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, on Monday afternoon, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday afternoon,
when she offers the new ones.

I like the elegant simplicity of your Joey Challenge tile. And love the fact that you did 2 for the Diva--I haven't had a moment to get to her site in a while.
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of using monotangles for the joey challenge. Very effective.
ReplyDeleteI like your monotangle very much, nice contrasts, nice shadows and the two tiles for Adele are lovely too, the first one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAll of your pieces here are lovely! The Joey monotangle is especially striking. I love both of your IAST pieces, but if I HAD to chose, I think the first one has more contrast
ReplyDeleteso my eye wants to go there.
All your tiles are lovely, but I really like the Joey one. One Villers on top of another one, etc.
