Diva's Challenge #134, Beamz

The Diva's Challenge this week, being the first week of the month, is a UMT (Use My Tangle) challenge. The tangle that she's chosen is Beamz, by Traci Frogley. You can find the step outs for this pattern Here. I have to admit that I struggled with this tangle; it didn't seem to fall in my comfort zone. And, due to Rosh Hashonah taking up 2 days out of the week, I didn't have as much time to work on it.

 This was the first one I came up with. 

Not too happy with it; for one thing it seems kind of busy.

 I tried shading it to see if that would help. 

The difference is very subtle, 

but I think I do like the shaded one a bit better.

 There's still some time left. Perhaps I'll try another one.
